The abstract of the master’s work

 

       

The drop metal transfer of the feed material in metallic bath is the feature of most processes of electrometallurgy. Such character of melting provides developed reaction surface of metal with refining fluid, as a result there is the considerable deleting of admixtures from the remelted metals and alloys. Through many years the processes of

electrodes pitting were studied thoroughly with the purpose of exposure of the reserve in metal refining.

The mass-transfer processes between metal and slag, especially on the face of the pitting  electrode with most developed reaction surface, extensively depends on the hydrodynamic processes of liquids motion.

Antagonisms in description of character of the hydrodynamics phenomena that  determined  the choice one or another physical model of mass transfer , practically eliminated the possibility of study of mass transfer by analytical methods.

 In the given work, that foresees an analytical investigation of the transfer processes in draining metallic layer, preliminary regarded and adjusted the hydrodynamic features of its motion with the help of the physical simulation.
