Kourennyi Eduard Grigorevich

Kourennyi Eduard Grigorevich was born on 19 September, 1938 in Far-Eastern Krai. He entered Makeevka metallurgical secondary school, which he finished with honours. And in 1956 became a student of Novocherkassk polytechnical institute at the Eleromechanical Department. In 1961 he got the diploma with honours in speciality "Electrification of industrial establishments".

After the institute from 1961 till 1962 he was working as designer engineer of an electrodrive office of Electrostalskiy heavy mechanical engineering plant. In 1963, deciding to go in for scientific research, Eduard Grigorevich became a postgraduate of Novocherkassk polytechnical institute. He graduated from it in 1965 and worked at the electrodrive chair of the same higher education establishment.

In DonNTU he has been working since 1967. Here he was a founder of the chair "Electrical supply of industrial establishments and cities" and was its first head from 1968 till 1975. But in 1975-1980 he headed the chair of electrotechnic and automatic of Makeevka building engineering institute. In 1980 Eduard Grigorevich again began working at our university as a head of the chair of electrical systems till 1981. From 1981 till 1986 he was secondly heading the chair "Electrical supply of industrial establishments and cities". Now Eduard Grigorevich is a professor of the same chair.

During his scientific activity he has created the scientific directions in fields of probable calculation method and predicting electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electric apparatuses in the electrical supply system. Calculation methods of indices of EMC were worked out. They were inculcated in project practise and were used at making of GOST. In 1986 he was rewarded with AS USSR Lebedev prize for the series of works "Development of a theory, methods of analysis and optimization of conditions of electric power system of electrical supply". Eduard Grigorevich is conserned with thorough investigations in the field of an integral energetics together with Institute of electrodynamic of NAS of Ukraine. Their subject is interconnected processes of electric power, gas and other energy resources consumption.

Moreover Eduard Grigorevich is a scientific consultant of "Stirol". He is a member of International Association of Enegetics Economy (IAEE).

He has prepared 12 doctors of technical science. His 174 scientific works were published including 4 monographs, 2 inventions and 1 patent. His works were represented at international conferences in Canada and in Poland. Eduard Grigorevich was rewarded with two silver medals for making of new generation apparatuses for measuring of EMC indices.
